I would like to try the veggie food for my Silver Dollars but need to ask William if the gelatin is used in this receipt the same as for that containing the meat receipt. I have read about beef heart being ground up before and everyone says their fish love it! You can even add salmon canned if you can't find it frozen or even fresh white fish, I believe. Fresh is preferred, of course.
One gal I talked to that makes food for her angels takes the mixture, minus the gelation, and makes little flat cakes from it and freezes them that way. She goes both way.....sometimes gelatin and sometimes not.
I don't have a food processor but may ask my butcher to grind me up the beef heart. I can do the rest in my slicer/dicer I think.

I would like to try vegetables etc, but what concerns me is having a community tank, will putting in some brocoli or something for the angels or dollars, harm the likes of mollies, swordtails and platties.
