I put my babies in the tank with the big boys today and the big boys are all looking at each other like .........who did that?

Mine are lone wolves. I think since they were separated from mom and dad and just now replaced in the tank with them, they don't surround either set of firemouths. I don't think they know which parents are theirs.

I talked with Andrea yesterday about stocking levels for 75 gallon and she mentioned around 7-8 firemouths. She didn't mention anything about 300 and what will I do if all these babies remain unclaimed by mother nature.

I love the flare of the fish in the first pic. I am going to be setting up my 55g in the near future for my new severum.... Do you think severum and firemouths would get along?

They are supposed to. Severums get much larger with firemouths remaining 5-6 inches. My firemouths don't like my featherfins or loaches and HATE my blood parrots. They do tend to only flare and strut their stuff with their own kind and leave others alone.
