well.. im excited lol i hope you like the pictures but i have a question as well. i picked kind of a runt male and he has a very weird pattern for a convict, he he looks exactly like a regular black convict but then it looks like some one sprinkled him with blank ink! he looks like a dalmation convict! do you think this weirdness will get passed on to the babies?

possibly is how i can answer......if youre fish as weird markings(its a lovely fish with these markings)then theres a possibility that youre fish will pass this on to his babies,

very nice! i like the odd pattering on him...that may be a trait that a few of the fry could pick up. we'll have to wait and see.
Congrats on the spawning!:19:

thanks everyone! ill try to get a better picture of the male but he is pretty cool! the female is also very colorful, lots and lots of orange on her belly, its kind of been dampened since she put down the eggs but shes still cool! i wish i had a better camera to take pictures for you guys but all i have now is the camera on my macbook laptop.. i have to hold it up to the glass lol. i have a digital camera but the zoom doesnt focus well at all. maybe i just need to play with the settings! thanks again, ill put more pictures up as the eggs turn into fry! its really fun to watch!

Great looking animal you got there. [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
And as for the zooming of your cam. Cleaning the tank panes helps a lot, and normaly there is a Macro function on a cam. Looks like a little flower. I normaly use Macro and fast moving objects (looks like a running oerson) together, to catch my quicker animals. Works great even with Endlers guppies.

i saw the mom move the eggs last night! :19: of course she had to move them to a hole under a rock facing the back glass which is like 3 inches from my wall lol so i cant really see anything! it stinks! :scry:

nice pics!!!
its exciting though isnt it. lol i love fish breeding.
the white eggs are infertile, they wont hatch. one of the parent fish will most probably pick them out so they dont spread fungus to the good eggs.
good luck and keep us updated. :18:
oh, i just thought that the eggs could have hatched, which would be why the parents shifted them. my convict fry hatched on their 4th day so im pretty sure thats what has happened
