How Could I Identify Male and Female Texas Cichlids? Please help me...

Males are slimmer and have more 'spangles'. Females are heavier bodied and have a more rounded belly. The male's belly is nearly straight.

The easiest way that I have found is by looking at the dorsal fin. Females will have a large black area in the bottom half of the center of the dorsal. Males will not.
