I finally was brave enough to pull out the frag with the bubble algae on it and cut it off. When I set the frag back in place I saw an itty bitty starfish run off and hide in a crevice. As best as I can tell from google pics I believe it is a brittle star of some sort.
Its over all size is between a dime and a nickel. It is a lot faster then I think a starfish would be. Is this something I should look out for and remove if possible?

They are great for your tank. Those are the stars that you will get in a detritivore kit if you buy one. They are great detritus eaters, I wish I had a few.

Sure would if I could catch them. At night I can sit there w/ a red light and count way into the double digits on them. I got my LR from Sea Life Inc. and you get a lot of GOOD hitchhikers.
