Well I posted on here this morning some place about having no casualties for one year...lmao well guess what!!!One of my daughters fancy guppies went to guppy heaven...........
Now my ? is ... is their return policy 7 days or 14? if it is 7 I am screwed but if it is 14 I can return tomorrow and Monday would be the 14th day. The little bugger was only 1 or 2 dollars but my daughter was heart broken. She paid for it by herself, and she even drew the fish a stinkin picture!!! Anyhow I was planning on bringing it back so she could get a new one but didnt want to have it tag along if it wasn't going to be exchanged.
Water params are good too so I am not sure why it puked? Nothing on the body as far as any type of disease either. A little tail fin missing but thats because the Gourami was having a snack. Thats how I found out about it...hubby said "hey hunnnnnnnn....." lol
So I guess that is a lesson to you all... say NOTHING and I mean NOTHING on this board about having NO CASUALTIES...if you do you will be sorry! lol

petsmarts in Mississippi are 14 days, just take the dead fish and your receipt to the person working the fish section, they will trade it out and mark on your receipt then just take it to the register and they give you a new receipt and a new warranty

Thats probably what ours did too. It was 7days then all of a sudden they said 14 days the last time i got fish there. I thought it had something to do with the type of fish i got.
I'm sure for the most part they'll exchange it no matter what. You'll just have to find a nicer lady working.

yeah, it really depends on the worker, some are hardcore and test your water and complain and find faults, others say its alright and just give you a new fish.

PetSmart has a 14day return policy and they are supposed to also require the receipt. If you have a good rapport with the people there though you may be able to get away with not having the receipt.

Ty everyone.
I called this morning and spoke to "tom".... said it is 14 days with dead body and receipt, no water test required. He didn't says who's dead body though :laugh1blue:
Anyhow I so wouldn't even be doing this if it wasn't my daughters. She bought it with her own gift money so even $1.50 is like gold to her. They will probably wonder what the heck I am doing returning a dead fish that cost a BUCK. LMAO
What are the chances that there was an illness that I didn't know about? There is absolutly no signs of anything and I looked with DH magnifying glass. He looked at me like I was a nut job. I just don't want the tank to be infected. This is why I don't get fish at petsmart because of I have heard not so great things. My LFS I get fish from are healthy and seemingly happy. I have had the white clouds for almost a year now and they were from the LFS not petsmart.
Thanks again everyone!

i am thinking that is what might have happened cocoa, we lost power for 24 hours the other day but the tanks were only without for 4 hours until I was able to get home and get the generator up and running. The other fish fared well just that one kind of hung low for quite some time even after the tank was back up and running. Things I think just got to much for it. I think the no circulation plus being that the guppies (2 of them and a fry) are poop factories probably fouled the water. As soon as the power came back on I changed some water and cleaned the bottom up a bit. So I am thinking it was a stress factor!
Hugs and new guppy gal is floating as we speak
