Not to be cheeky, but for dinner, yes. In nature Oscars eat shrimp & crabs, fruits and nuts.

They will be fine for awhile but as the O's grow they will eventually be considered food and disappear.

Ok you may have a point however my 1ft tigar oscar didn't bother with my crab or my cray
So maybe i'd also surgest you keep your oscar well fed like i do with mine and you should be fine!

if you are still persistant on the crabs then do as suggested keep the oscars well feed

The only predictable thing with cichlids is that they are unpredictable :hmm3grin2orange:. Your oscar may not touch the crabs or it might go straight for a snack. I would say it's always worth a try, but don't be sad if they do get eaten.

My O's are well fed but I still wouldn't trust them not to eat something they think is small enough to fit in their mouths.
