I used to let my son play on the computer. Well, I would put up Microsoft word and let him punch the keyboard, he would love it. So a few weeks ago, I noticed the computer was off, but the light was blinking when he was banging the mouse around. I thought maybe he some how put it in hibernation mode. Well, it will turn on, but not past the "compaq" opening screen and won't do anything else. I don't know what he did, but I think it's finally done.

I've skimmed a few posts and what the hell is going on? Wow, I thought I had it exciting here. Water every where. Literally, towns are islands where I'm at. Cities, big cities like Cedar Rapids are practically under water and crazy more tornadoes and funnel clouds.

I've been working tons of OT to get a computer soon. It's going to put my live rock back a few weeks, but I feel like I'm Amish. No cable, no internet.

It's been really crazy. About 1/4 of the guys I work with a stuck at home. Bridges that are usually 20 feet + over the river are under water. I'm just waiting for a levee to break. I don't know if anyone remembers the '93 flood, but it seems way worse than that in all the rivers except the Mississippi. It's high, no doubt, but not as bad as '93 yet. I live way up on a bluff, so I'm good, but it's a hassle just to get around.

Oh, yeah, I heard they closed the damn interstate. I 80 is closed. Now that's major.

I do remember the flood of 93. St Louis was a major disaster also. The devastation was horrible.

I remember '93 flood, but barely. I was 11 and didn't pay too much attention to it. I remember how high it was at just a few areas in town.

Doing the same thing in parts of MI right now. 43 roads washed out in just one country, main sewer lines broken, dams leaking.......

Wow, becareful over there! I cant get over the flooding that I'm seeing.
Here we are still in a state of drought. Now if only the weather could even its distribution out a bit, we'd be perfect!

Same thing where I live. A drought has been declared in California.
