What type? Most predatory catfish love Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellets as a main part of the diet. It is expensive, so for many it needs to be no more than a semi-weekly treat.

What's expensive to you ?

I say it is cheap based on the results, but at $10-15 per bag (~2oz. if I remember right) many consider that (too) expensive.

The results are great. We got in a south american redtail cat at work. I fed it this stuff and it grew about an inch in one week. That proves that the lack of nutrition in other foods are inhibiting growth rate. If you have big predatory bottom feeders, Hikari just came out with a larger sized pellet of this product, called Massivore Pellets.

I feed my polkadoted pictus catfish tetra crisps and Wardley shrimp pellets, he likes them is it good for him to eat?

Tetra isn't bad, but not the best. Wardley is the worst in my experience. I highly recommend getting some New Life Spectrum.

I have 9 bangos in my 75g swamp and I see them every once in a while patroling the neighborhood in the romantic glow of my blue moon lights. Pretty good scavengers and they love the harikari sinking pellets. I only seen the largest of the bangos, the big mama, take a neon once. and that as totally national geograghic quality too. then she buried herself back in the sandy-gravel mix and "disappeared". There are 3 girls in there cus they are the larger of the nine. Typical males are puny compared the big girl bangos. Many of them share the black PVC cave system buried under my pile of driftwood with the 4 reedfish, and 2 clown plecos.
I love those bangos too. their camouflage patterens on there back and tails are as unique and fingerprints so I can tell who is who and what areas they claim as their own. like the bango cat whisperer.
