lately my crayfish has been acting very funny....when i is hiding in his "home" he seems to be always laying on his side....and when he isnt...it looks like he is eating his intenea but i dont notice it getting shorter.....when is just sitting there his legs look all tangled up and then it looks like he is trying to scrap his back with them....i never seen him do this....he hasnt moulted since i had goten him and its really starting to worry me.....

is this natural behavior or is he sick???:scry:

How often do you feed him and what ? I'd not worry about shedding to much if it is'nt eating it wont need to

Oh and just incase your water has some sort of toxic in it add a carbon bag inverts get real ill with copper matter!,
Is it's tail tucked under its belly?

yes......the tail is tucked under its belly.....i feed him shrimp pellets and he loves them....i keep him full on that....and there is nothing containing copper in my tank

what do you think it could be.....

I think its constipation!
I use to give my one peas once a week just to help move things along if you know what i mean!, also if yours has reached its full size it wont shed often if at all.

You should cook them just bring them up to the boil and you could d-shell the peas or just put them in, your cray will d-shell them but you will have to fish the shells out after! Its down to you

If its tail is tucked under, check under it for eggs. It might have a clutch hiding under there, as that is where they keep them.
