My name is Minna and I live in Finland. Been browsing here and there for a while before deciding to actually register..

Currently I have 4 tanks, ranging from 30 to 295 liters (you can do the gallons yourself if you're not familiar with liters, as I'm much too lazy to do it for you =P) with 3 of them being soft/acidic. The 4th, also the smallest, has hard water and a couple of applesnails. The others have a variety of tetras, gouramis and plecos, as well as rasboras, loaches and corydoras.

Got my first tank set up a bit over a year ago and it has snowballed quite a bit since then. Much too many nice fish around to settle for just one tank! I have so far kept myself to smaller fish and intend to keep it like that for a few more years.

I've been fortunate enough to have some of my fish breed without much prompting from me. Bronze corys, silver-tipped tetras and honey gouramis being on that list. Waiting to see if the dwarf croaking gouramis I recently aquired will feel happy enough in their new tank to start blowing bubbles ;)

That's all I can think of for now... feel free to ask questions!

Welcome to the forum...and congrats on your babies you have achieved! I have sparkling gourami...which I believe dwarf croaking gourami is another common name for....would love to see pics of yours. Mine haven't reached the bright coloration I was hoping for, although you can see the irridescent sheens to them.

Welcome. You are so right about never having enough tanks. Fish are like potato chips and a few are never enough. I had fish years ago but also had 4 little ones running around and never had much time to devote to the hobby so gave it up for 30 years !!! and got started on it again last year. I really enjoy it.

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

I'll post up a pic or fifteen once I get some decent ones. Unfortunately my camera isn't very good and I'm not a good photographer either, so the quality of the pictures are.. well, varied =P

I got me some piccies! Now if I can only grasp the concept of uploading them here..... anyway, the quality is poor, but you should get an idea of what they might look like in real life. Also I have to say that I took these after some culling and replanting, as the two bigger tanks had way too many plants hanging around everywhere.

Thankies :) I wasn't happy with the picture of the 200 liter tank, so I messed around with the camera settings. New one, lo and behold, it's better ;)

Thanks, I'll think about it once I see how the plants grow in the mid sized tank. Of course if I could get a decent picture of the big one, without any houseplants and other paraphernalia in the way.... ;)

*goes to see if that's possible*

i think your house plants add to the whole "scene" :thumb:

*chuckles*

I wish I could get my houseplants to grow as nicely as their aquatic fellows! Since I was experimenting with the camera, I'll just keep posting pictures... one of the whole "scene" this time ;) Scuse the *ahem* mess.. =P
