Could my "king of the tank" be a Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi -- I do believe it is from the Peacock family

I was doing some research online and saw a picture and it looked just like my guy. What do you all think

A consences (sp) of those who responded - we have have determined that he is a
Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi

He amazes me -- and his colors are getting more defined don't know if it is his food or just him aging

Remember when I took the pic to some cichlid experts and ask them about this fish? They were sure it was a hybrid. They thought maybe Labeotropheus and Metriaclima zebra. Because of the wide snout it isn't Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi.

I do remember you said you took the pic to some experts. I don't believe it is from the labeotropheus as the mouth and coloring don't match --the metriaclima zebra markings are very similiar ---(although I could be completely wrong)

You'll never know for sure exactly what it is other than a hybrid. I've never had let alone mixed a labeotropheus and metriaclima zebra so I don't really know what kind of mouth or color the fry would have. Maybe one batch would have the labeo. mouth and the next batch the zebra mouth. I don't know and it really doesn't matter as long as you don't try to sell or breed it as a known something or other and sell fry as such. It's a beautiful fish and please don't take this wrong but I think you're beating a dead horse lol.
