NLS and Hiakari for liverbearers.

What kind of food should I feed my livebearers and their fry? NLS and Hiakari.

I haven't used NLS, but with Hikari we use the following
- Fancy guppy
- Micro pellets
- Micro wafers
- Freeze dried Tubifex worms
- Freeze dried blood worms

They'll also steal the frozen blood worms, algae wafers and carnivore pellets we put into the tank for the other fish ...

The last two are particularly important for pregnant females, the high protein content ensure a healthy birth and healthy fry.

As for feeding the fry ... all ours get gobbled up, so we don't have to feed them.

I feed my livebearers Hikari micro pellets and they like it. NLS would be better, I believe the "grow" formula comes small.

NLS would be the better option, it is higher quality (but Hikari isn't bad). NLS has numerous small pellets as well as the Grow (higher protein and fat for growth and breeding). The NLS flakes (crushed) would be great for the fry until they are big enough for the smallest pellets. For more information on NLS just PM me or just ask.
