My boys didn't get the opportunity to start herding until after their 7th birthday.

Guess this proves, you can teach an old dog new tricks! :19:

I love the colour of Aussies! Beautiful dogs!! Do they have huge herding instincts? Our border collie/red heeler has had absolutely no training and is always out there herding the cattle.

Most have some degree of instinct. Some are more biddable than others.
I've learned that a strong willed dog, that insists on doing it 'his way', can lead to trouble.

Nope...not borders or heelers. They are Australian Shepherds...AKA...Aussies
