Just got my Wii

Set it up right away and started messing around with Sports. My lord, this is possibly more fun than you should be able to have with a console. Pretty cool device. I think so far I am particular to tennis. Mario Galaxy, Mariokart, and Zelda are on my shopping list, I think.

It's funny how the remote doesn't really sense speed, yet you feel compelled to swing the bat/racket/whatever as you would in real life.

My brother owns the wii and I played it there. I do however own an xbox 360 with GTA4 if you happen to have that. Id definitely play that.

Hey be quite, My mom was yelling at me :P. But seriously the first game you should buy is mario kart. One of the best games you can get for family fun. My mom and I play together. Plus I can pwn you when you get it hooked on line.

Kart is a huge let down. Galaxy is awesome, though.

The Link shooting game that comes with the light gun contraption is amazing too.

It's fun and all, but some of aspects of the game design are simply puzzling. Some of the things I most enjoyed about Double Dash (GC) are missing. You can no longer co-op to unlock stuff.. characters have no unique attacks.. It is really fun though -- just some gripes I guess.

edit: You also have to choose tracks after every single race.. i.e., you can't just choose "mushroom cup."

I've always been a PC gamer--my last console was (gasp) the Turbographix 16! This Wii is totally awesome though. My daughter almost beat my wife in bowling last night. Lots of fun!
