Craigslist sure needs a proof reader for their ads. A woman a couple months ago was trying to hire someone to kill her husband for $4000.

This week some apartment manager was looking for a woman he could trade rent for sex. Bunch of creeps in there.

I usually don't browse the classifieds, but have been lately (a lot) mostly to get a handle on prices of stuff...and seeing if I can actually get a deal on any used items we need - like a new riding mower...

But you're right...some ads are awful...I wish they'd have more 'mods'.

I'm also tired of people being belligerent when they can't get good stuff for 'free'.

For example, one ad read something like this.

"Stupid greedy landlords. I don't have much money. I need a 2 bedroom apartment but only have $150. No one will rent me a nice place. I hope all you selfish b*stards rot in hell. If someone decent is out there and has a place I can call home, leave me messsage at 1-111-222-3333."

Others are of this sort:

"Looking for good quality patio furniture. Must be clean and in good condition. I can't pay for it, but I really need it. I have 6 kids!"

Maybe if they didn't have the 6 kids they could afford patio furniture.

This kind of stuff really gets under my skin.

Back to the original ad -- my red flag went up when he mentioned blood and vomit and then a dead dog!!!!

Perhaps a snide way of advertising his cleaning business.

i wouldn't hire him if my life depended on it --- I would be afraid he would take other stuff from the house and try to make money off it!!
