Will be leaving on a 2 1/2 week vacation a week after next Wednesday, I have a friend that's coming over to feed my fish every 4th day or so (4 times) while gone. In my 55 gallon I have a breeder net with about 10 baby black mollies and sword tails, the mollies are about 1/8" and the swordtails are a good 3/16", question is can I put them into my 55 gallon and expect them to live? The tank has 2 weather loaches, 1 small female betta, 1 honey gourami, 2 black skirt tetras and 2 zebra danios---I have been so caught up in getting someone to feed my fish while on vacation that I forgot about the baby fish, I'm not sure if they will survive being fed every 4th day or not but unfortunately that's the best I can do for finding someone to feed my fish. Also I was curious if every 4th day of feeding the fish while on vacation was O.K., and do I need to do anything to prepare the fish for this. I thought about the feeders at walmart that are made by tetra min might be good, it looks like there is real food in them and I think the one at walmart is good for either 10 days or 14 days, any suggestions?
