Hi all,
I recently, enough, acquired a weird fish. i was informed from the good people here, that it was a gudgeon. The ugliest fish i have ever seen. The other day though, I spotted he was colouring up. Amazing I thought. Does this mean he/ she is ready for mating? Its just really strange, cause now the colour is always popping up on it. Here is a pic for you lads, then imagine the fish without any colour on its fins, or body. Thats what it usually looked like.

William, I think this is a good pic for if you are doing articles on the fish!

thats a gudgeon and i go fishing for these and i cant find anything on google about a colourful gudgeon,there normally just a brown dull colour,

got it..........its an empire gudgeon and female??? the males are a darker red whereas the females have that more whiter effect.........does that look like youres???

It kinda does look like mine, but that one has an amazing red on it. I think it may be lighting though. What do you think?

Ugh! Maybe I should have read that properly, yeah, I think that looks right. Cheers buddy!! Does the colour indicate anything? As she was totally pale before!??

as she now darkened a little bit if so she could of been just settleing in? heres the link below about them see if it helps:19:
