well, i am new to this forum thing but not to fish keeping, i am glad though that there is a community of people who care enough for fish and offer their advice and help. I've lived in Miami Florida now for 11 years and have had fish for 7 out of those, but in my country of origin i have kept fish since i was 7 years old and my father was in the hobby for way longer and still is, the funny thing is that i thought he was weird because he has MTS, but little did i know how contagious is it, now i have it too, and i am on my 6th tank custom made by me as you can see in my signature and i have set up and give away to family member a total of 23 tanks after fully cicled and stocked, i stil visit them all to check out progress on them:hmm3grin2orange: Well, i think that is all for me, i hope to be of help and to be helped by others here, and thatnks for the welcome.

Welcome to AC...and what an introduction! And what a nice thing to do setting up tanks for others. I have offered to do that for my Dad and even offered to do the weekly maintenance since I think he would enjoy a carnivore now that he is too ill to get out and do much, he would have fun with the personality that comes along with some of the larger fish. He turned me down!

Hi cubanitoloko, good to have you with us. I hope you're going to post some pics of your custom made tanks cause I'm really keen to see them! Also, what kind of fish do you keep (I'm generally a curious person so don't mind all my questions)? I hope you find this forum and it's members as nice as I have found them to be.

Actuallythe only tank i have cutom built is that wall mounted one. I dont have any fish in it at the moment, but since i dont know much about planted tanks i put in lava rock. Today i started talking to a friend early and she suggested cichlids and gave me some rock to replace mine so i did and the water is murky now, but i think its ok to show. Just remember it is not complete yet.

Oh I am soooo jealous of that tank! I told my girls when they move out (many years from now) the wall between their room and the living room is going to become a custom tank with all of the working parts in the bedroom and just the front glass to watch the fish in the living room like that one looks!

thank you all for the coments on my tank, i am glad every body likes it. Thanks for the welcome jeff, and kim, the expensive part of it all for me was the construction of the whole set up into the wall without losing much of my room, i had to knock down the wall and build arround the tank basicaly, but since i did it mself it wasnt so bad.
