Yoyo and Zebra Loaches

Ok i just need help with clearing some answers up..

How big do both these fish get?
How many in a group will they do best?
Are they suitable for a 50g 36"x18"x18"?

I really like the yoyo loach but then i'm finding info that they get 6" unlike the zebra which only reaches 4". Can't really find a true minium tank size, of course they like to be kept in groups so that also comes in as a factor. Also do the Zebra's eat snails?

PH: 6.5 to 7.5
Hardness: Soft to medium. dH range: 5.0 - 12.0
Temperature: 73ºF to 81ºF (23-27°C)

and yoyo loaches
Size: 6" (10cm)
Tank: 36 inches
Strata: Bottom, middle
PH: 6.0 to 7.5
Hardness: Soft to medium. dH range: 2.0 - 10.0
Temperature: 75ºF to 86ºF (24-30°C)

Tolley old man,

Botia striata is perhaps the gentlest of the Botia clan, but they'll have escargot whenever they can get it, like all their kin. Six, even 8, of them in a 50 gallon properly set up and maintained, which I know yours will be.
Striata is perhaps my favorite loach. They are also long-lived, like all of them are. Twelve to 15 years easy.
Tank is well planted and you leave them to their own devices you may find half-grown Botia in your tank. No one I know has ever seen it, but if groups are left alone in a densely planted tank, it isn't uncommon to find fry after the parents are four years old. Oh, and THEY LOVE WORMS. Just FYI.

I have 3 you can have, they ate all my fry, I love the way they move and look. Just a little to aggresive to put in my 28 gal with the nasty snails, I like my fry too. lol

also don't forget it will take them a long time to grow to 6".

I bought a yoyo for taking care of my snail problem and it dominated them. Within the 5ish months i had it it only grew from 1" to 2". Getting to a size of 6in would take a few years i'm guessing.

thanks everyone i had forgotten that about loaches!

Well now i'm definitely allowed to swap the 40g for the 50g. So that means i'm definitely getting some zebra loaches.

Angel i am not sure yet. It all depends on the price. If they are cheapish possibly 6 if they're quite expensive maybe 4 minimum.
