Hi
I know I have asked this question once before -- but I now have some better pictures and would like to give it one more try in hopes that someone out there can ID this guy!! He was given to me and I was told he was an African cichlid -- when he was littler his colors were more like a brown and tanish. As you can see now that he is bigger he has some beautiful color to him. In just the last few days the dark yellow-orange color has really come out on his fins. He has become my favorite in the tank -- he takes care of the johaniis -- stays with the 3 of them most of the time and chases intruders away from them. I swear he likes having his picture taken --anytime I come near with the camera he comes to the front and swims back and forth. If you check out my other pictures you will notice that he mysteriously shows up on all pictures!! LOL
Thanks again to all of you out there for taking another peek to see if we can ID this beauty!!!:19:

Id say that was a Kenyi, mine were all that blusih colour then the male tuned a yellow, pinky colour.

The male is in the bigger one, the blue female in the back.

I agree with the previous diagnoses but I know very little about the Tanganyika's fish... I think they are Tang.

If it is a Kenyi, then its African.
