My 5g long was looking kind of empty, and I was thinking about what I could put in with the beta. Would 3 cories do okay in a 5g long (exactly the same size as a 10g, just half as tall) with a beta?
If not, do you know of any good tank mates that can fit in a 5g long and are compatible with a beta?

5 cories seems like a little much, so I think I will do 3 and see how that goes.

I love Pandas, and they are the smallest of the bunch, besides the Hastasus..

They top out at 1.75"..

Pygmy coried would be great for a 5gal, but they may be hard to find.

Well, you guys would know better on that score, for sure..

Myself, I'd bo for 6 pandas and skimp on the betta..

But I'm biased.. :)
