Ribbons, fish and all that stuff

I am wondering how you all get all the decorations and ribbons and such on the right hand of your posts. I had one given to me for which I was very happy about. Is that the only way you get them??

They are gifts,and you can gift to yourself if you wish.They are fun to receive and Ive enjoyed each and everyone Ive gotten.The longer your here and the more helpful you are the more gifts you will get.

on the top left, hit user CP. it will show you who gave you the last 5 reps, and how many total you have

The more reputation points each user has, the more they give when they give them. You can't control the number of rep points you give. I think that somehow the number of posts or the length of time you have been a member comes into play as well simply because there are some with a high number of rep points who don't give as many as others with fewer reps. You will notice your reps jump by varying amounts. :) I always like getting rep points, it is a kind of feedback that you get to let you know that you have contributed to the site.

Where do I go to see how many points I need to give ribbons and things??
I see the shop menu - but when I click on give ribbons it says I don't have enough -- just trying to find out what is enough!! Thanks:19:

hit shop menu, then shop main. hit a category, then next to the stuff in the subcategories it will say how much it is
