I have just one issue bugging me.
As many of you probably know, I started my tank, did research, and ended up doing fish cycling due to my parents um, reluctance to bring ammonia in its pure form into my house. I started with 2 platys, and now, 3.5 weeks later, am at 5 platys.
heres my thing. I have had NO problems. I have a 20g tank, with a 10g filter ( working on it!) and a heater and a bubbler. one of my platys recently had 3 fry ( thats seriuoly all she had, she didnt even get fat!) and they are thriving.
I have been testing my water weekly at the LFS, and it has been good. this last time ( a few days ago) the lady said it was the best water conditions she had ever seen! aside from a small, harmless bacterial bloom, NOTHING HAS GONE WRONG! all my fish are active and thriving, all freindly to each other, and eating like pigs ( had to put a stopper on that!)
basically, I had a disaster situation that somehow turned out. I am wondering if i am in a false sense of calm.
btw, the day before yesterday I had 0 amm, 0 nit, and 15-17 nitrAte. I knew you would probably ask.
