I won an awesome open brain at my last reef club meeting a week ago. Have bene waiting to get a good pic of it. My daughter's camera is top of the line, but my photography skills stink...so excuse the not so good pic.
This is now my favorite coral....quite a nice piece if I say so myself.

LMAO What about the rest of me? LOL
Brad...that's the one I was telling you about the other night.
Want me to post a pic of my duncans too....Oh.....and the Australian Blastomussa Wellsi I got today?

Seriously...thanks guys. I've been coming across some really nice corals lately. I picked up an Agent Orange Acan frag a while back, Some small aussie duncans pretty cheaply, then I won that Open brain at the meeting, and today I picked up Aussie Blastomussa Welssi. There's also an Australian Purple Prism Favia I've got my eye on as well....I might pick that up this weekend.

I'll get some better pics of the stuff tomorrow after I do a water change and clean up the sand a bit. Still have some phosphate issues after my 16 hour power outage and have been battling cyano. I'm picking up phosban this weekend and may actually consider a phos reactor as instead.

Very cool.

May I suggest the use of a tripod and macro mode? Thats how I get all of my good shots, like this one:

Haha, I try.

Its an 8 mega pixel cannon Power Shot SX100IS with 10x optical zoom.

It actually has an "Aquarium" setting. Its pretty dang cool.

A normal brain coral looks like a brain but I don't know why that one is. Also I wanna know, is it a SPS or a LPS coral?

Brain Corals, open or closed, are all LPS corals.

Ok I just didn't remember which the brains were.

I guess they call an open brain and open brain because it's soft a mushy. and yes, it's an LPS.

Drum....my daughter has the Cannon Rebel XTI 10.1 MP and has a tripod, mono pod, three different lenses......etc...etc... I was too lazy to take the tripod out and, in my case, I only do point and shoot and hope for the best. I'll give the tri a shot though. the only lens she doesn't have is a macro. I may have to get her one for graduation.

Bradley!!!! Why am I a mess??? Cuz I have beautiful corals but a messed up tank ATM???? LOL

I'll get a quick photography class from my daughter and get some more pics up today after I clean up the tank a bit.

I think it should have a macro mode, if there isn't a lense.
