ok so my fav little fish is no longer in my aquarium.... i have no idea what happened to it, i guess maybe one of the other fish ate it? is it common for them to completely devour the entire fish and there be absolutely no remains within 24 hours? I mean i checked everywhere and nothing... RIP little paradise fish RIP

ok.. that once happened to me, where I couldnt find a fish, do this if you havent already:
take a fish net or something, and jiggle around all the decor, to see if he
a) died under a decoration or got killed- ie remains
b) is hiding

then, if you dont have a TOTALLY COVERED 100% secure lid, chek arounfd to see if he jumped out.
if none of this, idk.... I think tiger barbs can pick a fish clean, but i dont think they can totally eat a fish an a few hours.

well i most def have checked around all the decor and he isnt there... i have a pretty secure lid but there are some places where the spray bar and stuff come into the tank that are open, im going to look now.

Sorry to hear about your fish.

I bought 2 silver hatchets home yesterday, and only one of the new ones remains. Can't find the joker anywhere.

Wonder if the same happened to me....

Sorry to hear that. I had the same thing happen to me and also couldn't find the fish until I looked behind the aquarium...

I thought that might be the case (I asked about you checking aroud the outside of the tank in another thread, but hadn't seen this one yet). I had a 15 gallon tank in college and had a mysterious missing fish. While sleeping in my dorm room late that night I felt something in the sheets....yep, my mysterious missing fish had jumped out of the tank an into my bed. Poor little dude was all dried up.

Sorry man.
