I had a quick question,

I noticed that my male green terror was very very overly aggressive towards the female GT in the tank. He ignores my other 3 fish, but he is constantly nipping at her, and she is forced to stay in the corner. I worry for her safety.

I have chalked this up to puberty (if fish have that), and thinking he is just wanting to breed and she isn't ready, however this pair has spawned before in my smaller tank about 4 months ago, but poor water quality due to cycling had made them very stressed out. I figured it would change when i moved them to my larger tank, which is now cycled with great water quality.

Could he be just trying to show dominance in the tank, is he wanting to breed. Or is it stress?

Anything i can do to make her ready, i am trying to get more plants and rocks so she has more hiding places. Her fins are nipped pretty bad.

And if i take her out will he start bothering the other fish in the tank.?

Sorry for all the questions, but thanks in advance, you guys rock.

I had a female GT that was killed in 3 days by my male GT.

I'm not a pro at cichlids, but I believe the GT is showing territorial aggressions. If they don't partner each other in the next days, I think removing one of them or re-decorating might be needed. Try removing the male for a week, and let the female become more dominant in the tank.

Hope somebody here can better a more legitimate answers.

I have a male and 2 females, he seemed to like one female more than the other.
He would dance and chase one but nip at the other(did this for about 5 to 6 weeks). Then when they mated the first time, he would try to mate with the 2nd female even tho he had eggs incubating. The 1st female egg layer would attack him and he would then attack the 2nd female then go back to dancing with her here and there.

After the 1st spawn, B4 the second spawning the 1st female didn't want to be bothered with the male and he would dance around with the 2nd female. The 2nd female didn't want to be bothered either. After the 1st female rested for about 2 weeks (2weeks after a unsuccessfull spawning-not sure what happened to the eggs) they, male and 1st female, danced around and spawned again.
I added a fast moving dither fish, but the GTs ignored it like it wasn't even there.

This time he did not dance with the 2nd female at all. The 1st female attacked the 2nd female and the male did the same. So I took her out.

Yeah i may be leaning that way if situation doesnt improve, i am hoping she will grow faster and start defending herself. But we'll see
