I mentioned a few days ago my one pair of firemouths had spawned. I have tons of those swimmers in my 55 gallon but now the other pair on the other end of the tank have spawned. Oh Lordie. What to do with them all!! I guess the trick with them is to let the water get all grungy!!

I removed some java moss from my community tank the other day and tossed it in my shrimp tank. Now I have swimmers in that tank, as well. Apparently I had eggs in the moss. I have no idea of what these swimmers are as I have rasbora, black neons, gold and black skirt tetra's, and a few rainbows. Could be any of the above. They stay at the waters surface, black and are the size of a pin head so your guess is as good as mine.

Uhhhh ohhhhhhh, this could mean trouble. Lets just hope they stay to their respective sides of the tank, so there isn't any conflict.

Somethings in the water, lol.

Sure is something in the water. Phosphates, fish poop, tannins and rotting food! Wish the babies would stop appearing so I could clean the darned tank.

Sounds like the rainbows laid eggs. They lay their eggs in java moss.

I dont think it would be the tetras because those would be smaller and sink. More than lilkely they are the rainbow eggs.

Right, and black tetra's are not black but gold. They just have a black strip and fry don't stay on top the waters surface.
