Woke up this morning and all the babies are gone:( They started dying off slowly right off the bat. Any suggestion on what went wrong and how I can do better next time?

Oh...haha it would help if I told you guys waht I did. :) I bought a 10 gal tank for them to breed in, fake plants, a little cottage, and baby hideout plants. He had a big bubble nest going on put mom in, had eggs, then they started to die right after hatching!

Any thoughts?!

check your water quality, also once they are born you wanna do lots of small waterchanges pretty much all the time

The main thing on breeding bettas are using your own method that fits u best, and that all comes through experience. I haven't successfully raise the fry till adult, so I'm not a pro yet =D. So do your research, and keep up with the breeding and you'll become a pro in no time :c12:

PS: i didn't do water changes to my fry, as i believe water chemistry changes are just way to stressful for them. I'd start changing water (10% a week max) when the frys are about 2 weeks (after free swimming). Another thing, was the daddy still in the tank before?
