90 gallon hood FINISHED

I finally finished the hood. I have CF lights in it for now until the LEDs come in. I dont know how I will ever be able to work in the tank though LOL I am short to start with, but now I can just get my hand in the water LOL

It's very nice and looks great. I have a new canopy in my closet that I should get out and paint and use. Like you, I am short so have never used it. Time to get a stool to stand on!

So does it come off when you have to do water changes and what not?

Because doesn't it add another 6-10in to the top of the tank? I'd need a step ladder with my tank with one of those.

No, it stays on, but it is not very heavy and easy to remove. The doors are on the top of the hood. And yes I will need a very tall step ladder to reach in LOL I figure I can make an extension for my gravel vac.

And thanks everyone! Building the stand and hood was a lot of work but I think it was worth it in the long run. I only have about $350 in the entire set up (But we will not talk about how much time went into it).
