What is this?!

Can anyone give me an ID please?
I saw one in my fry tank for ages which i got rid of in the end cause he annoyed me. Now i have found quite a few in my planted tank!
My first thought is snails but baby snails dont look like this do they? They feel like they have a shell kinda thing.
That is the best pic i could get and if that isnt clear enough i tried drawing it.
When i went to admire my ms paint picture i found out i drew an egg with 3 borwn spots :s

Looks like a baby snail to me.

Looks somewhat like a freshwater limpet, but I wouldn't expect to see them above the water line. How quickly (or slowly) do they move? Limpets are incredibly slow-moving little critters, they hardly seem to move at all while you're watching.
