I need to add more fish to my 10 gallon tank because due to a mini-cycle that went wrong I lost all of my pygmy cory cats and all of my shrimp. I figured out the problem and my tank is now stabilizing again. How my three little pygmy rasboras survived the crisis I will never know but somehow they did. Instead of adding different fish back into the tank I am thinking about just having a pygmy rasbora fish tank. I currently only have three and they are about 3/4" full grown. I mean they are some teeny tiny fish. These little guys are a schooling fish and I know they would be much happier with more to go along with them.

I am wondering how many more should I add to my 10 gallon tank?

If those are the only fish in your tank I think you could easily add 10-12 more. They really are VERY small fish.

That is, of course, assuming you can keep up with your WC and have proper filtration.

I am very good with my water changes and I have an aquaclear 30 on the tank so the filtration is also fine. If they would have died then I would have moved my Betta to the 10 gallon but since they survived I feel as if they really deserve to stay there and I should get more to make them happy. I now wish they weren't so small because I would love to put my Betta in the tank with them but I know the little guys wouldn't survive for sure. There are different types so maybe I could have two different schools just to give the tank a little variety.

I am still so suprised that they made it. Don't let the size of them fool you. They are some tough little fish! At least mine are anyway.
