I'm looking to put more fish into my 12-gallon with my betta. Currently I have my betta and a pleco but I am looking for more. I do not want otto's or anymore plecos for that matter. Any ideas on some cool fish that might be compatible. I really liked the African Butterfly Fish but I forgot what tank size it required.

Im not a professional on the butterfly fish..
for bottom feeders you can get cories. A group of white clouds seems pretty compatible with a betta. The main thing is not to obtain fish that has long fin or colorful and fish that doesn't bully or nip the precious finnage of the betta.
PS: A pleco gets pretty huge if u dont realise, a bare minimum for the pleco is 55 gallon, I had a 40 gallon and it easily overgrown it.

Yep I agree with the white clouds, or some of the smaller tetras.

Well I bought a common pleco from walmart without knowing how big they grew. I figured since he is quite small now I will just raise him and then give him to the lfs once he gets to big. What kind of tetras are recommended?

I dunno.. i thought tetras are generally fin-nippers, no?
Coz at the moment i'm researching on some fish that can go on to my betta 10g tank as well. I'll post it up if i get any ideas!

Nothing with long fins, like Betta's and nothing with the same coloring as Betta's, nothing agressive. I own three Betta's but check out this website!

Do you want top-level swimmers, mid-level swimmers or both levels (as it seems to don't want bottom-swimmers)?
