Why does he do that?

I have a tank of Cichlids with 1 plecostomus in it. My plecostumus hangs out vertically behind the filter doing his thing. One of my Cichlids stays behind the filter too and every once in a while seems to try to mimic the plecostomus, just floating there still in the same kind of vertical position as the plecostomus. Does anyone know what he is doing or why he does this funny behavior? He is the only one that does it.
