Anyone interested in setting doing a bit of a frag swap? I realize that it would mostly have to be done via mail and you would probably need to be in the same country in order for it to really work but I though it would be great if we could share frags and help build our reefs. Each person would have to pay actual shipping for the frags they receive or each party could cover the shipping for each other.

That's a cool idea, wish my corals were bigger so I could get some frags.

What kind of corals do you have?

Colt, orange zoas, and green zoas. They are all frags from my LFS but are growing nicely. It will be awhile before I can frag them.

I can understand that. Let me know when you are ready to frag the Zoas. I have some red mushrooms and some great Kenya Tree that I can trade. The Kenya Tree is ready to frag now. It has grown in size by about 6 times in the last 4 months.

That sounds like a cool idea, when are zoas ready to frag?

Right now, I have some neon green zoas, red zoas, and some red polyps not sure exactly what they are.

I might be able to frag ONE of my zoa colonys, but thats a maybe.

If not, I would be willing to purchase a coral or two from someone. Try to keep the business within the family, if you know what I mean.

You can frag them once they have spread a base mat big enough onto their host rock for you to get around 5-10 polyps. Here is a article with pictures for fragging zoas.

This is an interesting idea. My corals are still much too small for any fragging, but eventually they'll get there. I do have a couple of kenya tree frags right now. All my corals will be posted on my thread so keep track of what ya like.

if it wouldnt be such a pain to get across the US/Canada border, i would trade. i have pulsing xenia, toadstool leathers, cabbage leathers, galaxia, brown polyps, various zoas, kenya trees, bullseye mushrooms, and various other corals that are taking over and i would trade. right now im so sick of the pulsing xenia taking over im willing to give away frags

I could trade with people in Canada once my corals grow big enough.

I think it would be a great idea!
