So my dad wants me to ask you guys if you use gloves to move/handle your coral and what kind if you do.
He's worried about us getting stung. Is there a real risk involved with getting stung? If he could find that are safe I would wear them but he doesn't get it that you can't just throw in some random pair of gloves. So should we wear gloves or not?

You should find arm-length rubber gloves in any LFS.
Oh yes! For a move (when everyone's gonna be stressed out) I'd definitely use gloves!
I got mine from my reef store, but gardening stores also carry 'pond gloves', close enough to - (or might even be exactly -) the same thing.

Yes I use gloves for moving anything in my tank. Some corals are toxic to humans so you need to be careful what you are touching!

Well, My dad brang some gloves home. They smell and taste fine. There latex. There's no powder or anything. We rinsed them off in R/O water. I tasted the water (Yes I tasted it. I didn't swallow just tasted) and It tasted like latex. So are these good?

Unpowdered should be fine and it's even better since you rinsed them. I use some latex ones like that and I have had no problems.
