I think my aquarium has cycled.
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 30

Is it safe to remove the bag of seeded gravel now?

Yes, your tank is cycled. You need to do a large water change now and bring those nitrates down.

If your tank has no fish in it yet, you need to keep that bacteria alive tho so either add your fish now or keep adding a small amount of ammonia.

Yup, what the lady said. If your doing a fishless cycle, keep adding the ammonia until the day before you add fish.

Congrats and good work ... now where are the pics! :18:

Thanks for everyones help!!!!

Just finished the water change and retested the water.

Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0
pH 6.4

I changed about 1/3 of the water (about 30 gallons).

Added ammonia to bring the level back up.

I have some pictures in my members album in the photo gallery. they are not very good but they will give you an idea of what it looks like.

But I am going to change the setup a little. I found some great driftwood. I have scrubed, bleached, rinsed, dechlornated, rinsed, let the rain rinse, and now I am getting ready to add it to the tank.

You only need a small amount of ammonia now to keep the bacteria alive. The larger doses you cycled with grew the bacteria and now it's only enough to keep it going.
