its in a kh of 3 [chemically adjusted] and a 10-12 gh.

yup,no algae,according to my 270 watts and no injected co2 I should be covered in the stuff.That excel is the best product out there for plants.

Smaug, I was actually just wondering the other day while I was at work why you didn't have any algae, and you half answered it so far! How much excel do you use every day?

thats it.I have a few other things going as well that help I believe.I have a huge fish population in there,i use a tight fitting glass lid and I have very little water movement to lose co2 from.I suppose as ILMGB likes to say,I have a good balance,,,so far.Thanks for the compliments.

good stuff, but just remember not to change anything to much, or that algae might be a ticking time bomb!!! Congrats on that there balance you have, i know a lot of people would kill for that type of tank with no co2 injection.
