Most of you probably moniter your tank's live stock when you wake up, right?
Well if that is becoming a pain, I just thought of a way that it could sharpen your mind for the day and make it more fun lol.
Here's how the game goes: Wake up, and play this game for each of your aquariums. When you wake up, play the 'find the hidden fish in the picture' game until you find every one of your fish. This will be very helpful with sw, because fish are more likely to hide better.:hmm3grin2orange:

I do try to do that, just to get a head count! But try doing that with ghost shrimp in a planted tank... :hmm3grin2orange:

Same here.... Or try with cherry shrimps in a planted tank too...:hmm3grin2orange: But I admit ghost shrimp seems to be a must for the hide and seek game!:wink2:

I have this problem in my snail tank right now as one of my red eyes has decided to be anti social and hes difficult to spot if hes not moving sometimes. Before i used to drive myself insane thinking one of my mysterys had escaped almost daily, but they are just good hiders and havent attempted to escape once yet.

LOL, try to find a school of 1" neon gobies in a 72 gallon with over 100 pounds of live rock. I rarely see them unless I'm in the other room and even then it isn't for too long.

yea this is the game im playing though with my angels its turned into more of a "count how many tetra got munched during the night" game lol
i think its easiest to just play "check for sinkers check for floaters" rather than finding live fish lol

Try doing a head count of 12 giant danios. Man those suckers school tight and never quit moving. LOL

i try to do a headcount too, my reef fish are lazy though and usually dont come out until 20 minutes after the lights off

that was one of the worst things when my oscar died, he was 12" yet i never noticed him on the floor, i had to go to work from 6am-10am that day, so i figured i could turn the lights on when i got back. when i flipped on the light, i spend 10 minutes looking for the oscar, he usually darted to the front glass to see me. i gave up, looked behind me, and there he was on the floor

All I do is open the lid of the tank and they all come to the top, they just expect to be fed. lol I'll have to put in some extra time with these cherry shrimp though.

I starve all my fish out of the selFISHness (groan) of wanting to put off the next water change ... even the Kuhli's and the ghost shrimp come out first thing in the morning and start head butting the glass !!
