I would like to return some of my fish can I do this? I have a long finned tetra (see link) and he just hides in the back beind a rock I always have to climb on the tank just to make she he is ok and it pisses me off. I tried moving the rocks around but he just hides in strange hard to see spots.
Anyways I want to return him and my zebras leaving me like this:
1 Cory Catfish
1 Platy
1 Hatchet
1 Neon Tetra (one disappeared?)
I would like to get another cory catfish and hopfully more neons to make an actual school. Tank is 10Gal right now and I probably will move this tank to my office soon...I would like to safely stock it...any ideas?

How long has this long finned tetra been in the tank for?

He wants company, he wants some more tetras of his kind. It is a schooling fish, as most of the other fish you have, schooling fish want at least 5-6 of the same species.

Corys also prefer to be in groups of at least 5 or 6--you might want to do some research on your own and come here for questions/help when you aren't sure on what will go with what and how many to get.

Most small tropical fish that you will be able to have in your tank are schooling fish. So even though you may want 7 fish of different kinds it may be better to get two kinds of fish and 3 of each.
Like in my tank, it will be
5 Zebrafish
3 Otos
2 Guppies

That is what I am asking, I want to safely restock my tank. I want to keep my cory though...

The hatchet needs a school too. I would return it and end up with:
3 cories
5 neons
1 platy

Good plan. i would probably go 6-8 neons as these tend to transfer very poorly anyhow, and probably 1 more cory. But then again i love these little guys. What species of cory is it?

It is a peppered cory catfish and he is my favorite. I think it would be a great tank with 3 of them. I think I will restock and do it right. I like mandL's idea.
Im going to do this:
3 Corys
6 Neons
1 Platy
What do you think will be a safe way of introducing these fish. I was thinking I would introduce two more corys this week and the rest of the neons next week. Will the neon I have left school with the new neons or is he 'messed up' in the head from living for two months on his own?
Thanks for the help again!

I would add the neons first, they are not very hardy these days, and you may end up going back and getting more, or getting a sick one or something.... Then id grab the corys since they are sensitive (no scales) and more expensive by a ways.
The neon should school with the other neons almost immediately
