If it was before 1990
and you liked it, post it here

Another classic in my little world

I'm starting to like your taste in music more and more. I'm mainly a metal head, but PPL is awsome. Ever listen to Hot Tuna?

One of fave all time tunes.

In a place you only dream of
Where your soul is always free
Silver stages, golden curtains
Filled my head, plain as can be
As a rainbow grew round the sun
All the stars I've love who died
Came from somewhere beyond the scene you see
These lovely people played just for me
Now if I let you see this place
Where stories all ring true
Will you let me past your face
To see what's really you
It's not for me I ask these questions
As though I were a king
For you have to love, believe and feel
Before the burst of tamborines take you there

(chorus)
Green grass and high tides forever
Castles of stone souls and glory
Lost faces say we adore you
As kings and queens bow and play for you

Those who don't believe me
Find your souls and set them free
Those who do, believe and love
As time will be your key
Time and time again I've thanked them
For a piece of mind
They helped me find myself
Amongst the music and the rhyme
That enchants you there

Hot Tuna.

I took my sister's album to music class in June of 71. It was their first. I loved it, most people thought my music tastes were off. Mrs. Policastro said it was good. I think it was a good thing I took the Hot Tuna album and not the Ziggy Stardust album I really liked best. I don't think I would have made it out of school alive~LOL

Hey, remember Dicky Betts? I'd like to hear some of his stuff again.

Yeah, pre 90s is pretty broad ...

For my part I'm a big Aerosmith fan ... Just love their stuff from the 70's and 80's ... just too many classics to list them all! That and being Aerosmith ... might be a little to explicit for this forum! :c1:

good grief charley brown, i'm around a bunch of tiny boppers. classic rock, 'rock around the clock, early elvis, pre chubby checker and the twist. now that is rock and roll. i even stopped dancing soon after the twist came out. what's the use of dancing if you don't at least hold the hands of your partner. lol.

but then i'm an old fuddy duddy anyway and worse than my parents and grandparents in my choices of music and 'classical' music. Oh well, life, music and musical tastes move on.

FYI, I grew up in the area of (100) miles away, and listened to Buddy Holly over the Lubbock radio station before he was 'discovered' and of course KOMA radio and watched the Beedles on Ed Sullivan and Elvis on Ed Sullivan also

I'm not much of pop music fan...although I'm passionate about a few artists and/or their songs...

Can't come up with a single favourite from the '90s...that's when I likely listened to music the least...

Also cant believe no one mentioned these guys either..

When people ask me if im a beatles guy or an elvis guy, i always tell them. "Rolling stones"

RichBowyer
05-11-2008, 01:58 AM
And for the record (no pun intended) I hate "Bruce".

I don't buy too much music these days, uhhh because I have satellite radio? :o)

I went to a flea market a few years back and someone was selling 8 tracks for 5 cents apiece. Yes 5 cents......... That made my collection of like 480 of them worth a tad less then the space they were taking up.

All gone now.
