To keep my 5 peacocks w/ my Mbuna in a 100g with a lot of rock? I know I have to get rid of all my tanks when I do get the 100g.

Sometimes it works for some people, at least for a while. Usually the mbunas are simply too aggressive for the peacocks.
From what I have seen even in the setups where it 'works', once the peacocks are put by themselves they do much better. So it seems that even the 'successful' setups do not let them thrive, which should always be the goal.

I almost tried this myself a few years ago... but, was so discouraged from doing it, I never attempted. Since then, I've read more failed attempts than success. And I agree with fishguy... I think it is really stressful for them, even if they do survive.

Guess I will anyways. I think I am a risk taker seeing as I always go against what ya'll say rather it be keeping a crayfish with fish or keeping angelfish with a severum. If it don't work out then I will take them out but I will have to do something. I may like dim an end of the tank for the peacocks and have the other half bright for the Mbuna.

The peacocks don't mind the light, they mind being chased and nipped all the time. As stated, even in the cases where it 'works', when the mix is ended they do much better. So even when it looks fine, it isn't. Why do that to them? Knowingly taking risks for yourself is one thing, but these animals have no choice and no escape from our decisions. It is our obligation to them to do the best we reasonably can, which means doing more than whatever we want and undoing it, hopefully in time, when it is very obviously the wrong decision.
Honestly, and no offense, but I don't see the point in asking when even if everyone says 'no' the thread starter just says, 'don't care, I will anyways'.

From what I've read, it depends on the type of peacocks. I think there are a couple kinds of peacocks that are pretty aggressive themselves and do ok with mbuna. Most just won't color nicely or be truely happy though. What about putting a divider in the tank?
