30-40ppm, try to keep them lower if you can, shouldnt be a problem with such small fish though.

Fish will begin to feel the effects of nitrates at around the 100 ppm mark - particularly if levels remain at this level. The main effects are:

* Stressed fish susceptible to disease.
* Inhibits the ability of fish to reproduce.
* May produce unwanted algae growth (anything above 10ppm).
* Can cause decreased oxygen levels, which further stress the fish.

Nitrates should be less than 50ppm, and preferably < 25ppm. If you are breeding then the level should be lowered again to something < 10ppm.

Doh, you beat me to it Xoo :)

Yea the level at which nitrate becomes harmful is debatable and depends on the fish you keep but most would put it somewhere in the 50-100 range
