View Full Version : My new tableware!
Well...long story short...I was hoping to renovate/redecorate our family room this year - but then we had to dig a new well :(.
As a consolation prize, I did buy new everyday dishes and cutlery :19: . For your viewing pleasure, if you're interested:
Each item is from a different set. The striped plates and the green ones are the same company, but different sets. The floral bowl is another company altogether. The cutlery is totally funky...and so NOT me...but I was up for something different.

When you put it all together, it looks like this:

AND it's all sitting on the coffee table that my daughter just finished making in her shops class!
I think she did a great job!

I love the silverware!! Wouldn't mind having that in my kitchen. Nice job putting it all together - and great coffee table!
Thanks! :D
And I'll pass on the compliment to my daughter!
My old cutlery is 26 years old...time for a change...and the old dishes were very chipped...I salvaged the few intact pieces and my 18 year old took them for his 'hope chest'...should he ever move out...:hmm3grin2orange:

I hate it when my mom gets new silverware. Your hand gets used to the weight, shape, and size of the old stuff, and it feels wierd to use anything but.

I got mine from Canadian Tire! :hmm3grin2orange: But that might be hard for you to drop by at...
They are by GS

So I'm not crazy:27:
Nope, not as far as the cutlery goes...
But if you feel impelled to use your new tank as a jacuzzi...and to swim with the fishes...then maybe...:c1:

HA! My girlfriend's grandma gave us some dishes she wanted to get rid of. We opened the box up a few weeks ago and they are the exact same set my family had since I could remember until I was about 12. It is very nostalgic.

Oh I LOVE it!!!! Im in to all that funky stuff though. LOL! I LOVE the bedroom on that comerical where the little boy came in to his moms room and told her he got a check - on his homework bc his teacher said he had an overactive imagination, but it was an exact pic of his moms room...LOL!!! Im striving for that bedroom! LMAO!!!! It was an IKIA comercial I believe. (heeheeheee)
Back to the subject though, those plates look great together!!!
