Hi,
We have a 200L freshwater tank and i would like to know what type of bottom algae fish would anyone advise me to get? we was going to get some clown loaches but i have been researching them and they can get very large, we don't want to get anything that is going to be huge and then have to rehouse it down the line.
Can anyone give me some advice on this matter?
Many thanks.

Yeah, Oto cats and bristlenoses are pretty much your basic options. Normal plecos get too big, even for a 200L tank.

If you don't have overly large fish, Amano shrimp are another interesting option for eating algae and will double as a substrate cleanup crew.

Loaches don't eat algae. They just eat the food off the gravel, like cories do.

Loaches don't usually eat algae. They are bottom dwellers, at least most of the time, but if you want something for an algae problem you're better off going with a mystery snail or a bristlenose catfish. Ottos are good algae eaters, but they are rather delicate, and need to kept in groups of at least 5. They also need pretty much constant access to food, and they can't compete for it because they are peaceful shy fish. So once you run out of algae they need a constant supply of veggies, and no competition.
