I have pics of the 150 up now. I have added 14, but one died this morning after last night he had huge scrape marks on him where it looks like he was chased into or somehow got himself scraped by some of the rockwork.

If you want it in Decembers contests, enter it in the TOTM thread. You have some nice pics there.

hey i was googling and these guys (http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f123/new-job-need-help-53102.html) were talking about it and mentioned that the main thing you need to be concerned with cichlids about is the Ph and water hardness. could you tell us the specifications of exactly what you're using in regards to those two water qualities? thanks a lot for any information you can give

I knew fishguy was into goldfish too but didn't realize or maybe remember lol that he gave up peacocks or was it just the one tank? Does he still have some peacocks? It's hard for me to comprehend someone going from cichlids to all goldfish. That's just me though. Would love to hear from fishguy, if he's still with us, what's so cool about goldfish lol. I wouldn't think it could be the colors when compaired to peacocks. If he's not with us, anybody elses responce appreciated too.

I am still here. Just been less active because of how certain people like to question everything, the method they use to do that, and the reasoning they provide to 'disprove' others.

I love peacocks, and may not be without them for too long. Goldfish do have the same intelligence as cichlids. They actually have an even better responsiveness. Cichlids rush up to the front in hope of food. Goldfish will come up and just watch you, even if not being fed. There have been times when I am sitting by the tank and almost all the goldfish in the tank are at the end I am at just watching me. Goldfish do not have the aggression issues that cichlids have. Peacocks are much better than mbunas, and a better option for those wanting to get in to Africans, but there is still some aggression, subdominant males, etc. The goldfish are brightly colored (although not in the variety found with peacocks), and have very unique and varying body shapes (peacocks are all the same shape).
