xtra ludwigia put it in the pond?

I just did a big trim job of my planted tank and I have at least 15 very nice stems of broad leaf ludwigia.There is no where around here for me to give this stuff away.I bundled it up and planted it in with the lilys in my pond.It may not do well at the moment but when summer kicks in Im thinking I should be able to try it again.Any thoughts on this guys?

Can't do any harm, I had a nice batch of Najas growing in my pond by the end of last summer. I don't think it will be making a comeback like the water lilies, but I have a bit more in a large vase for "seed".
