My Green Texas shakes like a mad man when he want to mate. He ususally does it up close to the female and give her a tail slap too!!!:19: :19:

That's really neat! However, it seems someone else wants to be in the spotlight!

Is that normal? like they do breeding activities, but then the next day they are like seperate..like they arent really hanging out at that spot anymore.

Typical cichlid behavior. They are usually trying to get a female's attention for breeding, aka flirting :)... or to let others know they are a tough stuff. Basically it is body langauge for cichlids. It's totally normal!
They will do it off and on... depending on their mood.

lol "tough stuff" haha i love that, alrite thanks man.
Today he is like avoiding my female, like time to time my female wants to like sorta bite him(but its not an aggressive way, i can tell). And he either turns away or jus swims away slowly.....

Is he playing hard to get??? Sorry... I had to throw that in there.
I don't have a lot of severum experience. But, it almost sounds like they are getting ready to spawn. Did you notice any coloration differences... is she gaurding a specific area. I think you said they don't go near the same area though. ?? Maybe they are fussy about their mates... and she rejected him.

achually, maybe... like i see SOME of there breeding tubes out a little...
And the male today is shaking, and so maybe the female is playing hard to get. lol
But the tilapia is allways chasing the female around and i think its getting in the way of there breeding.. so i jus seperated the tilapia for now. To see wuts ganna happen.
