Hi, I have a 10g tank with 2 platy's and 2 black skirt tetras.
What bottom feeder can I get to help keep the tank clean a little?
jbeining75 suggested shrimp but the lfs doesn't have any in stock, actually no store in town has any in stock and they don't know when they will get any if they do get any. I would have liked to get the shrimp but I guess I am out of luck for now.

Oto Cats are always nice. Not sure how much they clean the gravel though if thats what you're looking for. And, they don't get very big.

I was thinking of a cat, will one do alright by itself?
They're best kept in groups and they wont eat dirty rotten stuff.

Any other suggestions?
Snails eat junk, you can get certain kinds of snails that dont mass reproduce

Dwarf corys would do great, you could have a half dozen of them. They never stop grubbing around and the barely get over 3/4 ".Here is a pic of some of mine.

Algenco sells cherry shrimp, at better prices than the fish store even shipped. I thinks its 25 bucks for 30, why dont you pm her/him?

I doubt it, but if he does it would be more $$$.
You could get 5 panda corydoras or pygmy cories. They'll clean up dropped food, but also need regular cory food dropped down for themselves.
The shrimp would be be great if you could find some. See if your lfs will special order.
If not, a trio of otocinclus will take care of most of your algae.

Just set up a 12g community with guppies, i picked up 2 cory cats for the job of vaccuming the bottom of the tank. They are pretty cool.

I don't believe Algenco can ship to Canada (if he can I want some lol). For cleaning food residue on the gravel, your best bet are some of the smaller cories. Otos will clean algae but not the leftover food or anything like that.
