Filtration for GBR's

Would it be beneficial to my rams to peat filter there water? How can I peat filter my water?

Yep. Just get some aquarium peat and rinse it lightly then put it in a nylon stocking and put that in your filter.

It does. That's why you need to monitor your pH regularly and whne it starts going up, replace the peat. It does stain the water, but it gives it a really natural look. The rams really like it.
